The location was beautiful and peaceful, offering a taste of simple rural living. The outdoor seating area and swing seat were lovely touches, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tranquility. We also enjoyed exploring the gardens and reading the stories about the area provided in the barn. The friendly owner greeted us personally and provided clear directions upon our arrival.
. There was only one bathroom for four people, which was a bit inconvenient, especially since we are all tall and kept bumping our heads in the loft.

Our stay at Little Pentre Barn was absolutely fantastic. We were there for a weekend getaway and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The barn itself was beautifully decorated and had a cozy wood burning stove. The owner, John, was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The location was peaceful and offered stunning views of the surrounding hills. The shared swimming pool was clean and we had it all to ourselves. We also loved the option to purchase fresh eggs and firewood on-site. Highly recommend!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The breakfast option could be improved with a wider selection.

Stayed at a lovely barn with a private pool. Loved parking for free and watching TV. The castle nearby was only 15 km away. So convenient, right?
Oh, there was absolutely nothing I didn't like. It was all just perfect.

We had a fantastic time at this charming countryside getaway. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great communication and local knowledge. The barn itself was full of surprises and had a cozy wood-burning stove, perfect for warming up with some mulled wine and mince pies. The location was peaceful and offered beautiful views of the surrounding hills. We also loved the shared swimming pool, which we had all to ourselves most of the time. a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.
There were a couple of minor downsides to note. the kitchen was a bit small and lacked a freezer or ice box, but this didn't bother us much for a short break.

The location and surroundings were absolutely stunning, with jaw-dropping views. The barn had everything we needed for a rustic and cozy stay. The owner, John, was superb with communication and provided lots of information about the local area. He even supplied wood for the fire, adding to the homely atmosphere. Although the pool wasn't open during our visit, the thought of a seasonal outdoor pool in the summer months sounds amazing. We enjoyed lovely walks and total peace and quiet. The proximity to major towns like Oswestry and Wrexham was a bonus, while still maintaining a rural feel. the space had an excellent cottagey feel to it and we felt right at home. John was extremely friendly and responsive, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We're already planning our next visit because we had such a superb time in this peaceful setting. Thanks for an unforgettable holiday!

Beautiful and peaceful location with quirky accommodation. Shared swimming pool with sole use and hardly any other guests. Warm and friendly welcome from the owner who shared fresh apples from the trees. Great base for exploring North Wales. Enjoyed a kayaking trip over the nearby Pontcysyllte aqueduct. Kids loved the attic mezzanine bedroom. Private outdoor dining area with a fabulous view. Immaculately clean pool and well-maintained grounds. Lots of space to roam and wander. Choice of BBQ and fire pit seating areas. Plenty of games, DVDs, books, and a large wood burner.
Felt like treated like royalty, nothing was too much trouble.

I stayed at Little Pentre Barn for work in November, but it would be perfect for a romantic getaway at any time of year. The location is quiet and beautiful, surrounded by countryside. The owner, John, was incredibly helpful and accommodating, providing all the necessary information. The property itself is well-equipped, with a lovely log burner for those cold winter nights. There are plenty of local pubs nearby, and John recommended a great breakfast spot called Corner House Cafe in Ellesmere, just a few miles away. a peaceful getaway that I can't wait to return to.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
